Chris Long takes second in box stock at Midwest Freeze Frame

Chris Long, CAMS’ treasurer, picked up second place in the box stock category for his Mustang convertible at the 2024 Midwest Freeze Frame, the national convention for the United States Scale Model Association.

Chris, along with club member Chris Klaver, had several entries among the more than 800 kits on display at the March 9 event in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In addition to his Mustang, Chis L brought his Cutlass, a Corvette and the two Munster customs. Chris K put in his own Mustang, as well as a Testarossa and GTO.

The show included some top work from around the Midwest, with prize winners spread from Michigan to Missouri. Here are a few shots from Chris and Chris and some of the other excellent modelers who participated. While the show leaned toward automotive, it included some excellent examples of armor and aircraft and some wonderful dioramas.
