Jason McEntire gets best Gundam at 4M Mayhem

The spring contest season launched February 7 with 4M Mayhem in Saginaw, which saw Jason McEntire take best Gundam for his RX-78.

The show, hosted by the Mid Michigan Model Makers, is open-judged, so each model is measured against a build standard, so CAMS members took home several awards.

In addition to his best in category, Jason got a silver for the RX and bronze for two other entries.

Among the awards, Norm Witte, one of CAMS’ newer members, picked up a silver for his PT Boat that he built in just shy of three weeks and for his ’60 delivery.

Bill Hensler got a bronze for his Kreigsmarine U-9, as did Steve Harvey for two of his dioramas, Dick Davenport for his RX-178 faceoff and Norm for his Lakota helicopter.

Norm’s grandson, DeVonte Leggett, Jr., got an appreciation token and a white ribbon for his A-4.

CAMS members has several other entries that did not see awards at the show.
