The Renault UE Armored Carrier was designed to provide a protected way to get supplies forward to infantry that were engaged in combat. It looks like a lightly armored Cushman Turf Truckster with a tracked trailer.
Tamiya’s kit is pretty easy to get together (unless the small size of the 1/35 scale gets to you). Fit and finish is pretty good for the most part with no real gaps. The tracks went together pretty well, and for me that was a minor miracle because the tracks of any armor are my downfall. I was concerned with subassemblies fitting together, but again, no real problems to speak of.
One problem is that the actual vehicle had two headlights and mine has only one because another part got in the way and that headlight wouldn’t fit. Oh well, it’s French, their vehicles are weird, they only have one headlight.
If you are looking for something that is a bit off the beaten track (get it?), then I recommend this one.
