CAMS members had a good time at Saturday’s Tim Ridout Challenge, but were shut out of the awards, leaving IPMS West Michigan to take the traveling trophy for 2025.
This was the second year CAMS was invited to join the gathering between West Michigan, IPMS Kalamazoo Scale Modelers and the TRIAD Plastic Modeling Society to honor former member Tim Ridout. All of the awards were popular vote among the attendees.
Best of Show went to Mark Jahsan of TRIAD for his USS Enterprise, though best watercraft went to Jacob Stevens of West Michigan for his Bismark.

Mark also took Best Aircraft for his F6F Hellcat and Best Small Subject (it had to fit in a provided cube) with Corsair Maintenance.


To round out West Michigan’s overall trophy win, David Kettler took Best Armor with his 4.5″ M1 Gun, John Tinay Best Automotive with an Audi R8, Mark Nebbling Best Diorama with Still Waters, Dan Cumming Best Figure (hist Ogre with Sunburn and Fire Giant Jailer tied) and David Wells Best Miscellaneous with his Coffman Starter.




Martin Schultz of Kalamazoo took Best Sci-Fi with his Viper mkII.

CAMS members did have a showing in the contest.
