CAMS members brought home a lot of awards Saturday from SEMMEX 2024 hosted by IPMS Warren, but Hyeon-jung “H.J.” Yun capped the awards with the Best USAF/ANG Subject for his aircraft displays.
H.J. said he was shocked by the award (and his wife told him he was inappropriately dressed to receive it).
The six club members participating brough home several gold, silver and bronze medals for their work. The show is criterion-judged, with bronze indicating skills mastery and gold overall excellence in the build. While the judges did award best in category and best in show awards, most of the competition was against one’s own building skills.
Chris Klaver and Chris Long also had a side wager on their matching 1970 1/2 Camaros that left the former owing the latter dinner.
The event wraps up the spring show season for CAMS. We are looking forward to having new things to put on the tables come fall.
