H.J. Yun brings home third in 1/72 aircraft from regionals

Hyeon-jung (HJ) Yun earned third place in 1/72 aircraft for his MIG 23 at the 2024 IPMS Region IV competition over the weekend.

HJ said about half the competitors in the Dayton, Ohio, event were aircraft.

“All entries were stunning,” HJ said. “I’m just a guy from a small town (country) having no experience of the contest before. It is a great honor to be chosen no matter what award is.”

Back in Michigan, members Chris Klaver and Chris Long were apparently outclassed at the Detroit Area Auto Modelers show in Warren. The six entries between them were not able to bring home any hardware. There were great conversations among modelers and adventure to be had among the vendors, though.
